Packing guide
Getting your cards here in one piece
None of this is fussy for its own sake. Damage in transit costs you the sale, and a scuffed toploader costs you bids because it shows up in every photo.
Sleeve every card
A penny sleeve on each card, first. This is the layer that actually protects the surface.
Fresh toploaders only
One card per toploader. New or clean ones — no tape, no residue, nothing written on them, nothing stuck to them. A scratched toploader photographs badly and costs you money.
Bundle and brace
Band small stacks together and pack them so nothing shifts in transit. Fill the empty space — a box that rattles is a box that damages corners.
Use a rigid box
A proper cardboard box, not a bubble mailer. Mailers bend, and a bent corner on a raw card is the difference between a grade and a loss.
Track it, and insure it
Always ship tracked. Insure it for what the cards are actually worth — until they reach us, they are in the carrier’s hands, not ours.
Please don’t
- Tape on or around the toploader
- Cards loose in a box or bag
- Mixed lots expecting one listing
- Bubble mailers for anything valuable
- Screwdown holders (they’re hard to open safely)
